Well yesterday was a real treat, I have to admit. For the first time since opening in November, I was able to visit the new Paula Hian store in the King of Prussia Mall. As I walked towards the store with excitement I knew I was going to witness something artistic, classy and luxurious. Over the years, Paula has continued to impress me with her level of craftsmanship, impeccable eye and ability to always exceed her own high design standards.
The store’s atmosphere is peaceful and inviting, comfortably designed to welcome all fashionistas. Once inside, I dare you not to gape at every single piece with the delight of a child waking up on Christmas morning. The designs, the color palette yes are exquisite, but what constantly blows me away is the artistry. Paula carefully chooses yarns and then creates her own unique, custom materials.
Textures and patterns for Paula, can be inspired by elements in nature like the spring/summer 2018 collection. Pastels, vibrant citrus shades and a “modern desert” color palette comprise this season’s latest creations. I have to say, with so many of my favorite designers there may only be one or two items that stand out in each collection and can actually be worn throughout the years. However, the classic, feminine pieces at Paula Hian are certainly wardrobe staples that will stand the test of time. Her designs do not conform to set trends, which limits the wear.
The single best word to describe the Paula Hian shopping experience is special. Yesterday, I walked away with a mental checklist of at least five pieces that I need in my closet. If you have not already, be sure to stop by the new store in King of Prussia for a shopping excursion not to be missed!
