I have been a patron of A Taste of Britain , located on the Main Line in Wayne, PA since I was in high school. This lovely and charming tea shop began as a quaint restaurant serving authentic British teas and an assortment of delicious treats. The menu and the business has expanded to include a delightful boutique filled with imported candies, chocolates, preserves, biscuits, crafts, and of course tea.
The atmosphere is calm and peaceful with an enthusiastic and friendly staff. Happy patrons gather with friends and loved ones over a cuppa while catching up on life, sounds of laughter and lively conversation fill the room. The dining experience is transformative, leaving each guest feeling as if they have been transported to the UK for afternoon tea, complete with authentic and delicious savory and sweet treats. Speaking of treats, if you are a Celiac or gluten intolerant you are more than welcome. A full gluten free menu exists and is absolutely scrumptious, whether you order tea sandwiches or buttermilk scones.
As you can imagine, A Taste of Britain requires a reservation and I would recommend making one at least a week prior. Of course, the shop is open to all and take out treats are available.
